Frequently asked questions
Does it really work without internet?
Yes. The radios exchange text messages and location over the local mesh, within the available coverage. The kits do not provide internet and do not make voice calls.
Will it cover the whole property or route?
Range depends on terrain, vegetation, buildings and where the equipment sits. We assess the site to decide where radios and repeaters go.
Does a guest or participant need a phone?
From experience, we chose kit devices that are at least water and dust resistant, so they hold up in the field. They share location on their own and exchange messages when paired with a phone running the app. If phones are not available, we can look at more sophisticated standalone devices with a screen and keyboard.
Can it be used to call for help on a trail?
It carries the request to the other radios within reach of the mesh. It does not trigger a rescue automatically and must be part of the activity's communication and emergency plan.
Can I rent for a few days and then buy?
Yes. We can offer a leasing plan: you rent for the period you want and can then choose to buy the equipment.
How do delivery, deposit and return work?
The proposal states service in your region, freight, lead times, deposit and return terms. Responsibility for damage or loss is agreed before signing.
